I love photography, and this picture just takes the biscuit!
You may remember our blog recently aboutn the panoramic view from the shard, available online. Well the BT tower has just topped it!
This is the world’s biggest picture of London, the 320 gigapixel image, required 200 hours of render time and allows the viewer to see a whole 6 miles away from the tower itself,
The pictures were taken using Canon EOS 7D cameras with EF 400mm f/2.8 IS II USM lenses and Extender EF 2x III teleconverters driven by special Rodeon VR Head ST robotic panorama heads from the Clauss company in Germany.
If printed at normal resolution, the photo would be 98 meters long and 23 meters high, almost as big as Buckingham Palace!
The organisation that brought this project together has done a wide variety of locations internationally and underwater – check it out!
