Mentored Visual Effects Course

Our Mentored Visual Effects (VFX) Course teaches you the real software skills that professionals use to create the effects seen in movies, commercials and TV.

Written and mentored by professional VFX artists, our Mentored Visual Effects Course shows you how to create sophisticated VFX elements and combine them with live-action to create seamless photo-realistic sequences.

Each week you complete a new tutorial featuring key techniques such as camera tracking, effects, texturing, lighting and rendering.

Our Mentored VFX course follows the same proven syllabus as our full time residential courses with each module divided into accessible weekly assignments that you complete and submit for review.

We’re there to offer helpful feedback, constructive advice and positive encouragement so you get the most from this course. It’s just like studying with us in person, only from home.

Plus, you can chat live with your classmates and see their work via our eLearning platform. You’ll also get support, inspiration and perhaps even a little friendly rivalry.

You’ll spend the final weeks of the course producing your own project as a showcase of your new skills for potential employers.

Course Structure

• The course consists of 38 weeks of tuition with regular breaks to help you take time out
• You get a set of HD video tutorials every week and a project brief
• Your completed projects need to be submitted for review by your instructor at the end of every week
• Detailed and personal video feedback will be provided to you by your instructor on a weekly basis
• This course requires about 15 hours of work per week

• The whole course is accessed via our brilliant social eLearning platform
• You get a virtual classroom where you can chat with classmates and instructors
• Other students' work and feedback will also be available to you for review
• Access all assignments, course tutorials, source files and background notes from the same place
