For those of you who are interested learning more about the tools being used by the pros, here’s a great article from the fxguide crew sharing details of the recent evolution of Naiad into Bifröst. In my opinion, this is one of the most exciting developments to come from Autodesk in quite some time. Find out more here.
I’ve been a massive fan of Naiad from its roots at Double Negative as an in-house fluid simulation tool, to Exotic Matter’s beta release two years ago. For many of us, the news that Naiad had been sold to Autodesk was concerning, because none of us knew how they intended to develop the tool, if at all. So you can imagine my relief and excitement to hear that Autodesk have found a way to implement it into their existing packages. Exciting times and I for one can’t wait to test it out.
Like all fxguide articles, this is a massively in-depth and a complex account of the recent update, but I definitely recommend you have a read. In this industry, it’s important that you keep up with the latest technologies.
