I love reading about good news! Especially at time when there is such "doom & gloom" dominating our newspaper headlines. So, it was with great pleasure that I stumbled upon a very interesting article entitled "Report: The State of the Graphics World" in Computer Graphics World (CGW) last week. I am not going to repeat it all verbatim - you can read it for yourself - but the saliant point to take away is that the CG market is doing rather well in what are pretty difficult economic times.
According to the article: "This year, the overall CG market will exceed $67 billion dollars, and is expected to hit $100 billion in 2014. The industry has enjoyed a 7 percent growth for past five years through recessions, and bubbles."
The article centers on some data recently published by Jon Peddie (a very useful source of incisive data which I keep coming back to regularly) about the predicted growth of CG Hardware and Software Markets.

That's truly glad to here that CG is doing very well for the way things are in this messed up world especially at this time.
Now my hopes of returning to Fullsail is brightening up again.
Hi Ray
I'm glad that Isabelle's post has inspired you to take up visual effects training again. What are you taking at Fullsail? Have you considered doing some training with Escape, either online or in the classroom? One thing we can certainly assure is that our courses are concise and in depth, so if you're looking to get into the industry quickly there are few alternatives.
Please give me a shout on 855 932 7324, or at joseph@escapestudios.com, if you would like to chat further. I'd love to answer your questions about escape or provide some helpful advice on the industry.
This website is awesome. I constantly come across something new & different right here. Thank you for that data.
