I noticed this cool little project knocking around the web and just couldn't resist sharing it with you.

A former Toy Story concept artist called William Joyce has developed a new ebook, film, and iPad app which has just reached the top of the iPad app charts.

The concept and execution of what has been achieved by the guys at MOONBOT Studios uses pretty much every trick in the book (pardon the pun). It's a VFX, 2D, 3D, stopmo 'filmed thing' which plays to the strengths of each discipline, and makes for a very elegant pipeline - from the outside at least!

Its delivery as an ebook and an app blurs the boundaries between the two. But wait! It's also a film... In my humble opinion, it's just a genius use of orginal content re-purposed for multiple formats. I love the fact that it encompasses the whole VFX pipeline, from the traditional to the coolest app technology. It's a real blend that produces something enchanting.
