Here’s a link to an interesting article entitled, The Core Unleashes Lego World Cup Fury. Legos—from the little pieces used to build the Star Wars Death Star to the video games produced for the Wii, computers and DS—are everywhere.
Because Escape Studios was born in the UK and I last visited during the World Cup (only to witness a brand of passion and craziness unique to Britain during the World Cup—I think), I had no choice but to watch the Lego Video spot created by The Core.
I gathered from the story that there were a lot of late nights and tons of time by a small group of artists invested in this creation – not very surprising, that’s just how our industry works. It was all worth it though; the whole thing is really well executed and makes for an impressive spot.
The article mentions that the project was actually put together to show off what The Core’s capabilities are as a creative production studio. That being the case, it needed to be very impressive.
In my opinion, The Core does not disappoint. The work presented looks seamless. The presentation is well executed. And, the passion of the World Cup is right there. See for yourself—watch the video here.
