So, we all loved Toy Story, and most of us who can remember watching it back in 1995, managed to find the same place in our hearts for it by the time the third cinematic instalment arrived in 2010.
Now, if you’re like me, you’ll agree that it’s better to leave people wanting more, than it is them waving you away. But naturally, keeping up with the modern day trend of ‘squeezing every last drop out of something that was originally awesome’, viewers will not be surprised to learn that ‘Toy Story of Terror’, a one off Halloween themed TV show (I know) will be hitting UK screens on October the 25th.
‘Toy Story of Terror’ (please do your best to imagine my unenthusiastic emphasis on the word ‘terror’) it is claimed though, is actually going to be quite good… most of the original character voices are involved and according to an IGN preview-review, it looks like ‘a worthy addition to the franchise’.
Its news to me, but this isn’t the first TV spin off/short to have been created since Toy Story 3 was released, according to reviews, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Hawaiian Vacation, Small Fry and Partysaurus Rex (how have I not heard of these?) have all been highly entertaining!
As much as I do hope this one continues the trend, I personally think they should put a lid on it before it all gets out of hand…
