Usually, we're all about the visuals here at Escape, but it's Friday! So here's something a little different that's caught our eye, or rather, ears; 'Sound of Cinema: The Music that Made the Movies' is a fascinating exploration of the history of music in film, and is currently showing on BBC4
Hitchcock in particular is famed for his more prolific films all bringing the art form to a new level, by taking the audience through a journey of visual and aural storytelling.
Also discussed is modern composer Hans Zimmer, who created the score for 'Galdiator' and 'The Dark Knight' as well as other Christopher Nolan films. There are some awesome interviews in the series and there’s also some web exclusive footage on BBC4's website – a must see for any film fan!
