Escape's brand new studios in Santa Monica, California, are finally ready to be unveiled. After months of hard work I caught up with Dom Davenport - our CEO - to ask him a few questions about the space and the creative photographs he recently took.

Dom, the pictures of the new studios are beautiful, please tell us a bit more about them?
"The concept behind the design aesthetic, is defined by the 'boutique' nature of what Escape Studios represents. Along with Lucy, my wife, who is an accomplished interior designer, we have created a strong brand identity at our London studios, which we have recreated in Santa Monica. Both spaces have a minimalist, post-industrial feel - strongly influenced by local VFX facilities. This creates a blank canvas for the imagination and learning that happens in the classroom. At Escape Studios we believe it's vital that students are inspired by their surroundings."

Our new Santa Monica facilities feature four studios, all kitted out with top-of-the-range workstations, and ready for the first intake of students on November 7. We have a further two state-of-the-art classrooms which will be opened as demand for courses grow.
We couldn't finish without mentioning our 50 seat screening room as well as our student break-out space and our terrace where our students can chill out and enjoy the vista.
There are certainly quite a few members of Escape Studios in London who are keen to visit and see for themselves. See the rest of Dom's photo's here.
