Painting a Picture of Compositing
When it comes to understanding the art of compositing in visual effects, we’re convinced there’s only one way to really get to grips with it, and that’s seeing the process in action for yourself. To help illustrate this process, we’ve invited NUKE Artist, Simon Richardson, to show you the fundamentals of compositing a shot with live action and 3D assets.
On Thursday, 18th April, Simon will reconstruct the crane shot from his own showreel. This is the shot he worked on while at Escape Studios along with his fellow student and 3D VFX partner in crime, Max Woodhead. Max created the 3D model of the crane, while Simon composited it into the scene, creating a beautiful seamless final shot - a shot that’s getting both of them very positive attention from recruiters.
An essential part to any VFX pipeline, compositing is the process that makes CG believable for an audience. Without it, the effects we see on screen wouldn't look as impressive. So if you’re looking for an education in compositing, don’t worry, you’re not alone! Join us for this illuminating webinar, where Simon will paint a clearer picture of compositing for you.
