NUKE in Production with Molinare
Join us for a live webinar with Gareth Parry, Senior DI Editor at Molinare, where we’ll explore how NUKE is used to fix and solve the technical or creative problems faced in a fast paced production environment.
Visual effects (VFX) is a device used in filmmaking to tell stories in a visual way that won’t detract from the emotion of a scene. There are stylised ‘obvious’ effects that bring superheroes, mythical worlds and impossible stunts to life, but sometimes, the aim is to make an effect invisible - blending all the elements convincingly and photo-realistically.
Molinare offer a complete post-production service, specialising in grading and digital intermediate (DI), sound, VFX, workflow management and international servicing. Their VFX team may be small, but they see their fair share of CG action.
Focused on supporting clients already involved in post-production at Molinare, they have been responsible for creating the seamless effects featured in productions such as Kick Ass 2, Moon, The King’s Speech, Cockney’s Vs. Zombies, Yonderland, Silent Witness and Jonathan Creek (to name just a few).
Split between the online editing team working on Avid DS and the VFX team working inside NUKE, Gareth will share some tales from the front line of this busy post-production facility while working on BBC's comedy Pramface and a viral produced for The Selfish Giant.
