Monster success with mocha Pro V3

Monster success with mocha Pro V3

The mocha Pro V3 event took place last night at Framestore screening room in London. The event was a great success so a big thank you to everyone who came down.

We had 3 speakers for the evening:

•    Ross Shain from Imagineer Systems
•    Simon Walker from Red Giant
•    Laura Castelli and the Assimilate Team.

Ross Shain first spoke to us about mocha Pro V3, the latest version of the Imagineer System planar motion tracking software. Ross showed us the best tips and tricks within mocha Pro V3 and covered some of the core areas and the newest features. And with Ross we even got treated to a little insight into some of the work done on Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows courtesy of Baseblack, which was really cool.

Simon Walker from Red Giant was up next and talked us through the Magic Bullet suite inside Adobe CS6.  Simon discussed Magic Bullet 2, Colorista II and even showed us some of the work used on Red Giant’s Webby award winning video The Plot Device. It was really good to see parts of how the video was made, even if it did ruin some movies for a few of us! And to end his talk Simon gave away one copy of Trapcode Suite and one copy of Magic Bullet Suite! Congratulations to the two lucky winners... hopefully you can keep us updated with how your prize is being used!

Finally we had Laura Castelli from Assimilate with the help of Romain from the booth at the back of the screening room! Laura talked us through all the perks of Assimilate’s workflow software SCRATCH, which has just been used on the up and coming movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Killer. As well as keeping us up to date with SCRATCH’s advanced capabilities for managing dailies.

And then it was off to the bar for a well-earned drink!

Again a massive thank you to everyone who participated, and for those of you who could attend, please share your favourite part from the evening?

We look forward to seeing you again soon, so keep your eyes peeled for up and coming events.
