Gasp! We can’t believe it, but we’ve almost reached the deadline for CG Whiz submissions this year.
Both our Amateurs and Young Professionals categories will close on November 12th, 2011 (at midnight?) and our incredible judging panel will begin the difficult task of picking our winners.
Here’s a quick reminder about the spectacular prizes up for grabs, worth more than $30,000 in total:
- The top prize for the Amateurs category is a 12-week visual effects (VFX) classroom course, either at Escape Studios’ academy in Los Angeles or London, followed by a 12-week placement at The Mill.
- Runners up will receive a selection of mentored and online courses and a license of the Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite for Education.
- The top prize for the “Young Professional” category is an Escape Studios ZBrush for 3D Artist online course, a Hewlett Packard (HP) Pavilion laptop and a show reel review by the panel of judges.
Additionally, we have two new Viewers Choice awards this year, which means a public vote will decide on a winner from each category as well. The Viewer’s Choice voting will begin November 14th on our Facebook page and everyone is invited to cast their votes by ‘liking’ their favorite showreel in the Amateurs or the Young Professionals categories.
