Have you always wanted a career in the industry?

I've always loved animation and VFX and hoped that one day I'd actually be able to do it for a living. I guess I've always wanted to be creative and 3D allows me to do just that.

How did you find out about Escape, and what was it like?

At the time I was head of multimedia at a company in Soho. A job came up that involved 3D and I didn't know where to start. After a little research I found that Escape would be the only option I wanted to explore. Studying at Escape was an amazing and intensive experience.

What happened after the course?

After the course, Escape's contacts led me to work on a pitch for the BBC as 3D supervisor, which was fantastic. That led me to freelancing at the The Mill, for Nokia, and The Discovery Channel, as well as working on outsourced projects from Escape. I did this for a little over a year and then found a full-time role.

What are you doing now?

Working as a 3D generalist at Saddington & Baynes. It's great.

What advice would you give prospective students?

As clichéd as it sounds—study hard and you get great results. Don't be afraid to ask for critique and always be as self-critical as you can be. That can only lead to better results.
