With my on-going love of all things oceanic and particularly wave related, I really loved this sculpture created by David Bowen, shown in Poland’s National Museum. It uses data accrued by a buoy in real time to mimic the ocean surface.
The structure is created by an impressively tall contraption, one that the creator David Bowen very much considers as part of the finished piece.
“Even though this mechanism is high up in the space, I still like to show it, I think it’s still part of the piece. It’s important for viewers to see the mechanism and how it’s being created”
