Thinkbox Software will be in London on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of September and will be working alongside Escape Studios to organise meetings and demos of their product line up.
Product Specialist Borislav "Bobo" Petrov and Director of Sales Thomas Phariss will be demonstrating some of the company's latest development in the area of visual effects tools, including the brand-new KRAKATOA FOR MAYA volumetric particles renderer.
Krakatoa has gained popularity since its release in 2007 as a fast solution for managing, manipulating and rendering vast quantities of particles. Embraced by both ad companies and visual effects studios for its performance and flexibility, the 3ds Max version of Krakatoa has been used in such film projects as "Avatar", "Transformers 3", "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows 2" and "The Avengers".
In 2011, Thinkbox Software announced a stand-alone version of Krakatoa. The overwhelming interest from the Autodesk Maya users prompted the development of a new, fully integrated plug-in renderer version inside of Maya, featuring the same advanced workflows available in the 3ds Max counterpart like particle caching, loading and retiming, fast mesh volume to point cloud conversion etc. Krakatoa for Maya is currently in Beta.
In addition to this, Thinkbox recently announced that Deadline 6 is now in beta and Ember, a new field manipulation toolkit, is under development.
If you want to know more about any of the Thinkbox products get in contact with the Tech team here at Escape Studios as we will be more than happy to arrange meetings.
