Gamescom, Europe's premier gaming event, starts today in Cologne, Germany and will run through until the end of this week (15th - 19th August). With over 275,000 visitors, more than 5,000 journalists and 557 exhibitors from 39 countries, Gamescom is the World's largest games event, uniquely showcasing all interactive game segments from PC and console right through to mobile gaming. This is the place for game devs and manufacturers to make an impression on Europe's tastemakers and games journalists.
Exhibitors will include Capcom, Crytek, Namco Bandai, Perfect World, Rondomedia, Sony Computer Entertainment, Turtle Entertainment, Blizzard and the World Cyber Games, to name just a few. A hotly anticipated release that will be showcased at Gamescom is Capcom's newest game, Remember Me, due to be released in May 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC - a futuristic vision of Paris set in 2084 where players control a rebel force in a battle against a power-hungry company. Sony also revealed a raft of new titles all to be shown at Gamescom including Rain and Puppeteer, both by Japan Studio. As well as that Tearaway have a brand new Vita game from Media Molecule, the British studio that created Little Big Planet.
