Here's the first look at some of the work from the Game Art Production course which finished in December.
These images are some quick screen grabs from UDK but I hope they demonstrate the level we are aiming for the guys to reach after just 12 weeks. These shots are from the final 'Court Yard' project which gives students the opportunity to flex their next gen games modelling muscles in a number of different ways; working with modular elements, using sophisticated in-game lighting techniques and high to low polygon work-flow between ZBrush and Maya.
The standard is really high and the new format 12 week course, designed by Simon Fenton, has proven to give students the skills they'll need to go on and build a successful career in Games Art. We'll have more examples to show as the students work more on their portfolios and I really hope we can bring you news of successful job hunting soon.
