Ska loving escapee Leo Neelands made a career change but 7 years ago, when upon the word of a trusty friend who recognised the potential of his artistic skills, he made his way down to London with nothing but a Wacom tablet and pen in his bindle and a bucket load of raw talent in his brain.
(He obviously had a load more stuff than that, moving to another city is quite the commitment, but the truth should never get in the way of a good story)
Anyway, it’s 2013 now, and Leo has worked on some of the most well-known VFX pieces of the last 10 years, a spell at Weta Digital saw him working on Oscar nominated ‘The Hobbit: An unexpected journey’, and that’s just one of his more recent projects, check out his full length success story here!
