From Greek God to CG God – Ridley Scott’s Prometheus Trailer

Film fanatics and CG lovers alike have been waiting for Ridley Scott’s latest movie Prometheus and it is the film that we have spent all year waiting for. Prometheus is due for UK release on June 1st this year and our friends MPC have been working hard on the post-production visual effects. And although we have to wait just a little longer judging from the trailer it will be well worth the wait.

Originally written to be the prequel to the infamous Alien franchise, Prometheus follows the crew of a spaceship as it attempts to find the origins of humanity through exploring an advanced alien civilization and from here chaos ensues.

Prometheus boasts an amazing cast including Noomi RapaceCharlize Theron and Michael Fassbender, the script was co-written by Damien Lindelof and Jon Spaihts and of course includes Scott’s legendary directing.

There has been some controversy over the length of the most recently released trailer; at almost 3 minutes long there is speculation that Ridley has given too much of the movie away before it has even hit cinemas. But after watching, I am more intrigued and excited than ever. The entire movie looks amazing so we can only assume there is definitely more to come when it is finally released.

With hit movies like Gladiator, Hannibal and Black Hawk Down under his belt, Ridley Scott just cannot go wrong and judging from the recent trailer Prometheus is set to be a huge success.

Watch the trailer and see what you think…
