Escape Tutor Dan Shutt shared one of his past times with us this week, in the form of FPV flight.
For those of you who don’t know (I didn't until 3 days ago!) FPV is an abbreviation for First Person View, and is a hobby shared by tech fans worldwide. In layman’s terms, it involves mounting a small video camera and television transmitter on a radio controlled aircraft and flying by means of a live video down-link, usually displayed on video goggles, so that while piloting the aircraft, the controller gets a ‘first person view’ of its movements – very cool!
His videos include some spectacular aerial views of Leysdown on Sea, Blackheath, and the Thames Barrier Gardens, check it out!
