“I’ve waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time”
Well it’s only taken them a whole decade but Disney and its Pixar Animation have finally confirmed the title and date release for the sequel to their 2003 Oscar-winning film Finding Nemo. It was revealed via the movie’s facebook page on Tuesday that the sequel, Finding Dory, will be released over Thanksgiving weekend 2015.
Ellen DeGeneres will return to voice the lead character of Dory who, along with favourites Nemo, Marlin and The Tank Gang, will take the audience on another underwater adventure along the Californian coastline and beyond, making new friends along the way.
In an official press release from Disney•Pixar, DeGeneres had this to say:
“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time, I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”
2015 might seem like a long way off, but if ‘Dory’ is to be believed then it's a sequel worth waiting for…
