Escape Studios Announces CG Whiz Winner 2010

It's finally time to announce the winner of Escape Studios CG Whiz competition 2010! But, before we go on to give you the name of the winner, just a few details. We looked at over 170 entries to create the shortlist and the competition was so tough because there was so much good material to review. We were impressed by the caliber of work submitted this year and would like to say a big thank everyone who submitted a demo reel. 

So, without further ado, the team here in the US and of course our counterparts in the UK would like to offer congratulations to Stu Schwartz from Georgia here in the US. Stu showed us some great visual effects in his demo reel with special attention to detail in lighting and movement.

As the winner, Stu will attend an intensive VFX course at our academy in Los Angeles that will be opening in 2010 followed by a one-month stint with The Mill in California. He will also receive a one-year subscription to CG Society.

We also would like to recognize our second place winner Justyna Galka of Poland for her reel, and Natalie Rocks from the UK who took third with her animation reel. Justyna and Natalie both win online and mentored courses from Escape Studios.
