Eric Alba

Eric Alba is a Visual Effects Supervisor with 16 Years of On-Set Visual Effects Supervision experience that started in network series TV.

Alba began his career in 1992 as a Video Tape Operator in the machine room of a post-production facility. After serving an internship on the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in the post-production department, he was later hired as a production assistant to the post-production and visual effects departments. After two seasons, he moved to Vancouver to supervise visual effects for various TV projects for Paramount, Universal, Fox, Marvel & Hallmark. 

He has since traveled to various countries consulting & building facilities/teams for animation and visual effects projects. As a Visual Effects Supervisor he has worked for such studios as The Mill NY/UK, Method, Zoic, Psyop, Mass Market, Brand New School, ntropic, Brainstorm Digital, Logan, 1stAveMachine, Digital Kitchen and Superfad.

He now lives in New York continuing to apply his craft designing, shooting and post supervising visual effects in commercial and long-form projects. 

Eric was nominated for an Emmy Award as Post-Production and Visual Effects Supervisor of the documentary mini-series ”Strange Days on Planet Earth” in the category of "Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft: Graphic and Artistic Design". The series was produced for PBS by National Geographic, Vulcan Productions and Sea Studios Foundation.
