Originally training as a sound engineer way back in the ‘80s mixing and producing various artists, Nick moved on to positions in computer graphics that would lead him to Escape. Crucially he made the jump to video games 15 years ago, putting in time as a game artist and musician at Sega, Sony, and Psygnosis. In 1995, Nick moved into production gaining experience in 2D and 3D artistry. Branching out in all directions, Nick then became Head of FMV at Glassworks, Head of Character setup at Indestructable, and Senior character TD at Double Negative and Cinesite. So, Nick added film, TV, and print to his existing repertoire of music and games, with all aspects of Character production while working on projects such as ‘Batman Begins’, ‘Doom’, and ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’. We think you’ll agree that it’d be hard to find someone more suited to designing and teaching our Character courses, and Nick sums it up by saying: “A career in CG is a matter of steps, gaining experience as you go. A course at Escape simply gets you off to a flying start.”
