Industry respected Scott Eaton presents Anatomy Masterclass

Escape Studios is thrilled to present Scott Eaton's two-day Artistic Anatomy Masterclass, taking place in London's West End on April 2nd and 3rd 2009.

The Artistic Anatomy Masterclass is a two-day workshop developed by Scott to teach CG artists the anatomical foundation required to create stunning characters. The class teaches a functional approach to human anatomy which draws on Scott's years of traditional anatomical study and CG production experience.

Scott will examine the construction of the entire body, emphasising how the skeleton and muscles create surface form and then drive changes in form during movement. The lectures draw heavily on examples from the old masters, referencing classical painting, drawing and sculpture to show how artists can solve challenging figurative problems through knowledge of anatomy.

This traditional approach is combined with an expert use of ZBrush for sculpting surface form, and reinforced by medical-imaging software to visualise cross-sections of real anatomy for a more detailed understanding of the body's construction. Scott will also analyse differences in anatomy across a range of body types and show the mistakes commonly made when building characters, and how to avoid them.

Presented in typically engaging style by Scott, the Artistic Anatomy Masterclass is a fascinating event, viewed by CG professionals and past attendees as essential learning for all artists interested in producing compelling, realistic character work.

The price for the 2 days is £300 and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
