Ninja Theory unveils techniques used on Heavenly Sword!

On Wednesday 13th June Stuart Adcock of Ninja Theory- creators of Heavenly Sword- came to talk to the Escape Studios Games course students about creating the game, next-gen gaming, and his experiences in the industry.

Responsible for facial development in the game, Stuart was in an ideal position to give a unique insight into the various innovative and complex techniques used to create the game, and the type of work that our games course students will be engaged on entering the industry.

Going through the entire production pipeline, the students enjoyed the talk thoroughly and stayed asking questions well into the evening after the talk had finished.

One student, Rian Sturgess, summed it up: “He gave a fantastic insight into the industry, showing us facets that we would never normally cover on the course, like animation in gaming and working with actors.”
