Escape Studios is proud to announce that it's been commissioned by Pixar Animation Studios to develop a comprehensive set of courseware for Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning RenderMan® software.

The tool is currently under development by Escape Studios, and will be the first courseware to receive official certification from Pixar Animation Studios.

Intended for deployment in educational institutions and production environments, the RenderMan certified courseware will establish new standards of educational excellence for those wishing to learn the intricacies of RenderMan, Pixar’s core rendering technology.

Developed by Escape Studios’ Creative TD, Scott Eaton, these materials will include case studies of production rendering techniques from studios around the world.

"We are delighted to work with Escape Studios with their many years of experience in real-world training for the production industry" said Chris Ford, RenderMan Business Director.

"Our new courseware will provide unprecedented insight into the actual production techniques used by TD's in visual effects and feature film rendering, which together with a new Certified Training Program will provide the highest level of education for the professional use of RenderMan."

Dominic Davenport, CEO of Escape Studios said, “We were really flattered to have been asked by Pixar to develop the official courseware for RenderMan. A shared desire to deliver high quality results without compromise makes our relationship an absolute joy. We look forward to supporting both new and existing RenderMan users with an effective learning resource.”

The RenderMan certified courseware is scheduled for release late summer 2007.
