Power and efficiency with the new BOXX 10200

Responding to the ever-changing market BOXX has now released the renderBOXX 10200 powered by new Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® 5400 Series processors.

The idea behind the pairing of BOXX with Intel Core micro-architecture is pure, world-class network rendering power while saving you space at the same time .

Each renderBOXX 10200 module has two nodes that include two processors each for a total of 16 rendering cores per module. As the modules are 4U tall with 5 modules fitting in the width of a standard rack, that’s a total of 800 cores in a full rack with the possibility of progressively building out your render farm as you require.

The modules are controlled through IPMI 2.0 technology so you can manage your distributed rendering capacity from any computer connected by IP regardless of the state of individual nodes. The nodes can be shutdown or rebooted via an out-of-band connection if no OS is installed, and even if the render farm isn’t powered up.

All that power and control coupled with the best power efficiency mean that the renderBOXX 10200 should be a serious consideration for any studio regardless of size or budget.
