As a brand, BOXX might be lesser known but that doesn’t mean it lacks punch where it counts. BOXX Workstations are used extensively by creative pros for 3DFX, audio production, graphic design and video editing/finishing in Post Production.

3DBOXX 4850 Workstations

The most powerful single processor workstations ever, the 3DBOXX 4850 Series offer digital artists astounding performance for 3D and 2D professional applications. Featuring the revolutionary technology of an Intel® Core™ i7 processor, the 4850 delivers core speeds up to 3.46 GHz in turbo mode, while the over-clocked 4850 Extreme is capable of reaching a blazing fast 4 GHz. Ideal for desktop rendering and multitasking with single threaded applications, the high-powered 4850 Series models are available with a wide range of performance level options.

3DBOXX 8500

Capable of reaching 3.46 GHz in turbo mode, the 3DBOXX 8500 provides digital artists with 16 virtual cores of high-powered, multitasking performance for 3D design, animation, rendering, and visualization applications, as well as VFX compositing, video editing and digital intermediate (DI) workflows. Designed to accommodate multi-threading, multiple applications, and complex production pipelines, the 8500 features six Intel Xeon Processor 5500 Series options, up to 192 GB advanced DDR3 ECC memory, 12 terabytes of storage, and up to six hard drives.

3DBOXX 8500 R **NEW**

For rich-media remote access, the rack-mounted, high density 3DBOXX 8500R provides remote desktop computing without compromising application performance. Featuring latest dual Intel® Xeon™ Quad Core processors combined with PCoIP® technology from Teradici®, it is designed for graphic and compute-intensive software applications, delivering the same user experience to traditional creative environments where the workstation is located at the artist’s desk. RTX Series

Developed in close cooperation with leading software developers, the RTX Workstation is engineered for high resolution motion media workflows, allowing users to instantly review digital dailies (at a range of frame rates) in uncompressed HD, 2K, 4K and 2K stereo resolutions. It supports digital intermediate (DI) tasks such as color grading and conforming, as well as visual effects and compositing workflows.  Available as either a rack mount system with 24 SAS or SATA drives, or a desk-side model with 10 storage drives, RTX models feature a number of hardware RAID storage configurations. RTX is available in both single socket (Intel® Core™ i7) and dual socket (Intel® Xeon Processor 5500 Series) configurations.
