For those students interested in developing as character artists we’re offering two new courses: Realistic Character Modelling and Realistic Character Rigging.
Each course is 4 weeks long and focuses on a specific section of the character pipeline. The modelling course will see students working to industry briefs to create realistic bi-pedal characters, with credible form and anatomy. The rigging course will de-mystify the often complex process of creating rigs and muscle systems for realistic movement.
Each course was developed by Nick Savy, Escape’s character specialist. Nick, whose professional experience as a character artist spans titles such as Batman Begins, Doom and The Golden Compass is delighted with what the new courses will offer:
“Both courses will now help to develop a student’s artistic ability, enabling them to more easily turn 2D images into 3D models. There is more time to spend on learning how to interpret anatomy…more time for rigging and skinning…both modules will help the student develop a piece of work for their show reel that they can really be proud of. With more time to spend concentrating on the different aspects, the new courses will make someone a much greater asset to an employer.”
Realistic Character Modelling and Realistic Character Rigging can be taken as individual 4 week courses, or together as a single 8 week programme.
If you’d like any more information on this, or any other course, then please feel free to contact Jason our Training Manager. |
