After starting out in the mid-80’s, at CAL, Virgin and Rushes, Jim spent the next decade in Paris, at Videosysteme and Medialab, working on Commercials, Realtime characters, and VR applications.
Jim has been MPC Creative Head of CGI for Commercials & TV since 2000, and has supervised VFX for many high-profile projects, recent examples being Nicolai Fuglsig's Ford 'Blank Canvas' for Ogilvy, and Simon Ratigan's Sony 'Foam' spots for Fallon. Alongside these, the department has been nominated for recent VES awards - Outstanding VFX in a Commercial - Bacardi, 'Sun', for Pleix, and Tim Burton's Killers 'Bones' in Outstanding VFX in a Music Promo. In 2005, Jim won an Emmy and a VES award for the ground-breaking Discovery Channel documentary 'Virtual History The Secret Plot to Kill Hitler.'
