Brighton based games developer; Zoe Mode approached Escape Studios for assistance in creating environments and characters for Konami’s forthcoming ‘Rock Revolution’. The project provided many of our junior artists exposure to their first professional games experience, which supplemented by the experience of our supervisors, provided a great fit.
Liam Jackson, one of the character artists on the team said, ‘This was a fun project to work on and also taught me a great deal about how a professional game is put together. For many of us in the team it was the first professional games project we had worked on, but help was at hand when ever we needed advice or a new technique to speed up our workflow. I think the highlight for me was seeing my character put into one of the game levels with the animation rig attached, it was great to see it come to life!’
The outsourcing was based at Escape Studios and many of the artists were then contracted by Zoe Mode on completion of the project.
