If you're looking to become the complete visual effects artist, then this course is for you. Visual Effects Professional is an extended version of our highly successful VFX course, offering additional tuition in FX, dynamics and simulation techniques.

To break into the VFX industry you need to be able to create CG elements and combine them with live-action to create a photo-realistic final sequence. We'll teach you how to do exactly that. You'll begin with a foundation in Maya and learn how to create realistic looking CG artwork. Then we'll teach you the camera tracking, lighting, shading and compositing skills essential for integrating your work seamlessly into live-action film or video, enabling you to produce a visual effects shot to industry standard.

Having accomplished this, you're ready to enter the exciting realm of FX and develop unlimited creative powers using Maya's most advanced features. An introduction to dynamics, particles and MEL (Maya Embedded Language) will teach you how to create the impressive effects seen in major motion pictures, and you'll explore the use of RenderMan for character hair and fur simulation. The course will complete with a major project demonstrating the full range of your skills.
