The 2008 Escape Awards at Tate Modern will soon be upon us and all indicators pointing towards it being a huge success!
The entries have been rolling in and each catagory is packed with amazing examples of the kind of work that the Awards, on March 27, were set up to showcase.
The categories represent the full cross section of Visual Effects, Games and Design disciplines catering to both companies and students.
We have a glittering panel of judges including Lord Puttnam, Danny Boyle and industry figures from companies such as Pixar, Sony, SeymourPowell and Foster + Partners. The evening will not only celebrate the wealth of student talent within the UK but also the industries that depend on CG.
The Awards has been years in the planning explains Escape Studios CEO Dominic Davenport, "In the last five years there hasn't been a single major event that brings together the full spectrum of the UK CG community. Not just advertising or games but all of the various industry sectors that employ similar technology to produce stunning imagery."
