Acclaimed Director Danny Boyle champions Escape Awards

Renowned Director Danny Boyle has confirmed his involvement in this year's innaugural Escape Awards, which will be held at Tate Modern in London on 27 March 2008.

The Awards will celebrate the cream of the UK computer graphics community, both working and students.

Returning to the UK in mid February Danny will join the rest of the judges to vote for the entries.The categories cover the full spectrum of CG industries with visual effects, games and design visualisation all included.

In addition to the professional categories are three student categories.

"It was really important to us that the awards celebrated not only the best the UK has to offer today but also the stars of tomorrow," said Escape Studios CEO Dominic Davenport.

"We're honoured that Danny and all the judges were so keen to be involved. We've had nothing but support from everyone we've spoken to proving that an major annual event that brings together the UK CG community is long overdue."
