Gamma has his roots in the old school having originally trained as a Photogrammetrist and Cartographic Draughtsman with the Hunting’s Group. He then moved into CAD and architecture with London-based firm Austin-Smith-Lord in 1987. After 5 years Gamma made the jump to Foster + Partners as a Senior CAD Technician, stepping straight into the team that worked on Chep Lap Kok, New Hong Kong Airport. The move to the London office in 1994 saw him included on several projects, including the Valencia Concert Hall, and the KFF project in Riyadh, on which he was the CAD Coordinator and 3D modeller/Visualiser. In 1997/8 he set up the Visualisation Group within Foster + Partners, an in-house resource for the production of 3D visual still images, animations and presentational material.
