Daniel O’Rourke, Not to Scale

Graduating from the Northern Media School in 1995 to start a career in advertising, Daniel started off in the Television Department at M&C Saatchi, learning the tricks of the trade to become London’s youngest Agency Producer at the age of 23.

From there he was head-hunted to join St. Luke’s, and while working on campaigns including Ikea, BT Business, and EuroStar he honed his skills in graphic design and animation. Daniel curated a year long animation showcase called ‘Hello Reception’ which led to him joining Nexus, an animation studio where he worked with directors such as Smith & Foulkes, Simon Henwood, and Jonas Odell.

It was in 2005 that Daniel decided to branch out on his own and he founded Not to Scale, an Animation and Design Studio in Dean Street, Soho.

Not to Scale now represents directorial talent in London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles. The studio has been behind projects such as British Airways’ ‘Attractive Prices’ and the Volvo c30, which has started to pick up industry awards.
