Dan O'Rourke, Not To Scale

Dan is the executive producer and founder of Not To Scale, an award winning animation studio based in, Soho, London. Apart from a slew of bizarre summer jobs, producing films is all that O’Rourke has ever really known. After graduating from film school, serendipity found him working as a production assistant in the TV department of the Saatchi brother’s new start up, M&C Saatchi. Listening, learning and talking a lot, he continued his commercials production apprenticeship at Partners BDDH and Grey London before joining innovative Agency St.Luke’s as a Producer.

 

Dan left St. Luke’s to work at groundbreaking Animation studio Nexus where he learnt all things animation before leaving to launch Not To Scale in 2005.

From M&C Saatchi to Not To Scale, Dan has always sought out the easiest way to work with the best idea generators. He sees the producer’s role as guardian and perhaps ‘gardener’ of those ideas, nurturing and allowing the best thoughts time to grow, and he still loves nothing more than taking a project from paper to punter, and ensuring that it realises its maximum potential.
