When I see students go from first day newbies to fully-fledged VFX artists I can’t help but feel that they absolutely deserve it. After weeks of rigorous training learning how to create believable CG, the moment comes when they start looking for a job. And that’s exactly what happened to Pasquale Riefoli and Maria Busco who have both secured jobs at Double Negative!
After graduating in Computer Science in Italy, Pasquale came to London on holiday without any intentions of staying. A simple visit to Escape Studios changed all that. Attending our Open Day reignited his childhood passion for the Visual Effects in Jurassic Park and he decided to embark on our 18-week Visual Effects Professional course and is now working at Dneg.
Maria studied the same course at Escape Studios and loved every minute of it. She also thought that her tutor, Mark Spevick, was ‘awesome’. It seems that Mark’s impressive career in VFX leaves a lasting impression on all of his students – his knowledge and experience is a fantastic source of inspiration for them all.
Well done guys, we’re really pleased for you both!
