This morning, Escape Relationship Manager Anita Gribble and Head of 2D Davi Stein, took students on a trip to the heart of the West End – to see the newly opened Double Negative facility in Great Portland Street, which opened just 3 months ago! As is always the case with our studio visits, everyone set off early with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a hunger for adventure.
It was adventure they wanted, and adventure they got indeed! As en route, the team stopped for a preliminary coffee break, and hawk eyed Anita Gribble spotted none other than legendary actor Bill Nighy, making his way through the streets of Soho by foot.
Upon being informed (rather politely, might we add) by Anita, that Escape’s Head of 2D had “worked on his face” on the film Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (check it out!) the actor was more than glad to meet and greet one of the creators of the Davy Jones digital aesthetic, as well as the Escape day trippers. Check out the cool snaps!
After this most excellent chance visit, the group continued their mission on to Double Negative, where they were spoken to by the recruitment team, and enjoyed a brief visit from friend of Escape Christoph Keller, who is due to visit Escape HQ next week, to dispatch some professional advice to those coming to the end of their courses.
All in a day’s work!
