It seems there is an abundance of technology conferences to choose from this year. For fellow technology enthusiasts out there, this is an exciting time, as we are treated to an ocean of updates, new releases and ground breaking developments. One conference we give a particular seal of approval to is the much anticipated CVMP (Conference for Visual Media Production), now in its 8th year running. This is a conference dedicated to the geeks of the visual media production industries, whether that is in film, broadcast or games.
This year you can expect a great line up of keynote speakers from companies such as Google, Adobe and Double Negative. CVMP also brings together some of the leading research and development figures in the industry. This year they plan to look at a range of topics including tracking, computational video, performance capture / manipulations and 3D production pipelines. Some pretty hardcore topics I’m sure you’ll agree, not to be missed.
If you think you have something to contribute to this event you can submit a Short Paper on the CVMP website. The deadline for this is Monday 10th October 2011. That doesn’t leave you much time, so get this in before the end of the weekend.
Also, if you would like to make a saving on tickets, make sure you catch the lazy bird registration before it closes on Monday 10th October.
For more information on all of the above, check out the CVMP website here.
