Chris Edwards
Chris Edwards’ career began at Disney Feature Animation where he had the unique distinction of being both a 3D Layout Artist and a Character Animator. Chris helped previsualize Disney’s Dinosaur in 1997 and was the Lead 3D Layout Artist on Treasure Planet.
In 2002, Chris joined a hand-picked team of digital artists at the Skywalker Ranch, who were tasked with previsualizing Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and two other features for George Lucas & Steven Spielberg. Afterwards, Edwards spearheaded the creation of THE THIRD FLOOR, the World’s Preeminent Previsualization Company in 2004.
As CEO and Creative Director at THE THIRD FLOOR, Edwards has helped oversee the design of many feature films, commercials, and video game cinematics. Theatrical credits include Valkyrie, Beowulf, Star Trek, Iron Man 2, I Am Number Four, Avatar and Alice in Wonderland. Cinematic credits include Resident Evil 5, Need for Speed: Undercover and Command & Conquer 4.
Chris Edwards is one of the founders of The Previsualization Society, an international organization dedicated to furthering the artform of previs. Chris is also an active member of the Virtual Production Committee, and is working to define future Virtual Production workflows.
