We’ve been brewing up a VFX storm over the last few weeks in the form of the VFX Festival 2013. Last year’s Festival was a huge success, tickets sold out in 72 hours and after a week of packed workshops and talks, this time we had no choice but to make things bigger and better!

Hi dudes! It's been a while since I've seen a film where the special effects really surprised me. The thing is that these days everything is ordinary: it's absolutely normal to go to the cinema and see giant robots, extreme explosions, blah blah blah.
We got to Earls Court at around 9am on Saturday morning and paid £12 for entry (this was strictly an admission fee, no photo or autograph opportunities/food or drinks included!) and by 11am the queue was truly immense, given that it was blisteringly hot outside, the early birds definitely got the worm!
Like all our Open Days here at Escape, the next is set to be even more epic than the last. On July 10th we’ll be joined by industry legend Steve Begg, who’s 27 years' of experience in the industry is quite intimidating. VFX Supervisor on titles such as Skyfall, Batman Begins, Casino Royale, The Golden Compass, Red Dwarf, Aliens... the list goes on… Steve has a great many anecdotes to share, as well as some golden nuggets of wisdom!
I'm not sure if you noticed, but the internet has become quite popular recently. In fact, if you're reading this, chances are you’re on the internet right now, and you might not even know it. Surprise!
