Being in a band can be testing, creative differences can get in the way, varying levels musicianship can stunt progression, and of course there are some nights where it just doesn’t come together on stage.
Leaves as Canvas - Art from Lorenzo Duran Silva
Remember autumn? The pavements littered with fallen leaves? Consider yourself in the shoes of Spanish artist Lorenzo Duran Silva, in his eyes these fallen autumn leaves are thousands of potential canvases.
Inspired by once watching a caterpillar eating a leaf, Silva takes fallen leaves, washes, dries and presses them before etching intricate pieces of art onto them, creating some outstanding images.
The process can take anything from a week to two months to complete, and this artist has spent 4 years making these creations, boy has he mastered his craft! Be sure to check out this site and see some truly compelling works of art.

"The world gives us garbage, we give back music"
Given this year’s economic climate, you may have found yourself sewing up a pesky hole in your jeans rather than buying a new pair, or whacking another jumper on in lieu of the central heating.
Old School Toys (we mean really old school!)
Forget microscopic hyper intelligent computer chips. modern technology? I laugh in the face of modern technology (for a moment anyway) - you will too after watching some of these mechanical toys from yesteryear, they are simply amazing
In the beginning there was... FIFA International Soccer?
It wasn’t long ago that FIFA 13 was crowned the king of 21st century sports games, with 4.5 million copies sold in the five days after its launch, (1.23 million of those being in the first 48 hours) it’s figures worldwide trounced sporting rivals such as NHL 13 (0.48m), and Madden 13 (1.65m), more importantly though, it exceeded its closest rival, Pro Evolution Soccer, (0.86m) which had Christiano Ronaldo spearheading the advertising campaign, who in this case, off of the pitch, as well as on, has been left in the shadow of this year’s FIFA ambassador Lionel Messi.
Princess Leia, a true Disney Princess?
I think it’s fair to say that a huge amount of young girls, at one point or another have shared the dream of being a Disney Princess. Given this fact, one would imagine it’d be a celebrated occasion to see another Princess joining the Disney family.

Selby's App of the Week: Postagram - the new age of postcards!
In this modern age of gadgetry we've got tablets, Siri and GPS coming out of every orifice, but sometimes it's nice to remember the past, the things that people used to do before the technological world took over, like writing a letter—with an actual pen and paper, using real stamps from a post office?! That's perhaps a retro step too far, but if there was some way to combine the old and the new worlds...some sort of postcard sending app, maybe? But if only you could use your own picture—not the generic touristy crap you can get everywhere, something more personal...Everyone LOVES taking photos on their phone—it's fast and it's easy. But what do you do with them after that? Sure you can whack them on twitter, upload them to facebook and wait for the likes but what about posting it...as a postcard?
