Now this is what we like to see – children getting involved in animation from a young age. This week we heard that Tate is teaming up with Aardman Animations, the team behind Wallace and Gromit, to create a new film. And, they want children to help them brainstorm. We’re halfway through the competition and we’ve already had 49 entries – a great response, but we’re still keen to see what everyone else is working on.
Our CG Whiz competition has got off to a fantastic start - we’ve already had an impressive 27 entries but there’s still time to submit your best work.
We're delighted to announce the winner of our competition with Computer Arts Project: Matt Long. We received many applications to this competition, and the overall quality of the entries was very high, but Matt impressed the judges with an original and well-executed character design. He wins a copy of Maya, access to the online Maya Core course, and a 6 weeks intensive Characters Course with us at Escape HQ in London.
Escape for the Summer
After working for 7 years as a DVD Technology Developer and Producer I felt it was time to make a change in my life and chase an idea which had been in the back of my head for sometime, to work on blockbuster movies. After many international phone calls and many, many hours of reseach I decided to leave a very well paid job back in Australia and booked a plane ticket to London, Destination; Escape Studios.
