We don't know yet, but we’re keen to find out. Yes, Facebook has had a huge head start as a social networking tool compared to Google, but Google+ users tend to be fiercely loyal because honestly, it’s just great - albeit a very different product.

007 Is Back...
You’ve just gotta check out the teaser trailer for the new Bond film, Skyfall. This trailer is the first newly released James Bond footage in four years, and it’s creating quite a stir among fans. Putting a slightly more creative and somewhat modern spin on this trailer, the teaser doesn’t give much plot away, but rather sets up the movie as an action-packed roller coaster, filled with guns, explosions, intense conversation, dazzling locations, hurdling tube trains and more guns!
Proteigon: A Geometric Stop-motion Magic!
Earlier today I came across Proteigon (video above), a fantastic short film directed by Steven Briand during a two month internship with Partizan.
Isn't It Marvel-lous?
We just can’t get enough of Marvel at the moment. And they are back again with one of the most popular characters coming back to the big screen, The Amazing Spider-Man.
This film has Andrew Garfield of The Social Network fame, starring as Peter Parker in an untold story that presents us with a different version of Spider-Man. It is due in cinemas from July 3rd, but you probably knew that already.
Finger puppets? They Really Bring out the Kid in Me!
Batman? The Dark Knight? Wonder Woman? Not really, but these incredibly detailed, hand-crafted finger puppet designs by Tamara Maynes recall iconic heroes and villains who we’ve seen in the pages of comic books and as blockbusters on the big screen.
Looking for new Worlds using the "Minority Report" Interface
NASA's Kepler Mission has been running since 2009 and is currently searching our region of the Milky Way for habitable planets. So far, it has spotted about 2,300 and confirmed 61 planets. Data artist Jer Thorp and John Underkoffler, the designer who created the interfaces in Minority Report, have produced a user interface that lets us find out how these new planets look.
Happy Birthday Charlie Chaplin
Today, 16th April, we would like to take a moment to remember Charlie Chaplin, the hugely creative and influential personality of the silent-film era. It is his 123rd birthday and still to this day he is celebrated the world over for his contribution to film during a career that spanned over 75 years. Best known as a comic-actor, Chaplin also wrote, directed, produced and scoured over 80 films. He also served as an on-set hairdresser from time to time.

Creative Interpretations of the London Tube Map
I travel on the underground every day on my journey to and from work, and unless there are disruptions on my route, I rarely need to examine the tube map. Over the weekend, while surfing the net, I came across this really cool 3D version of the map, which is such a simple but effective idea. In this video you can see a time lapse of the map being made from nails and coloured string. It’s so simple any one of us could have a go at making it. In fact it would make a very thoughtful housewarming gift for anyone moving to London.
Escape Studios wins website of the month
So it may not be an Oscar but we’re still pretty damn pleased that we’ve won SilverStripe’s website of the month! Without getting too techy, the reason that we took first place is because our website is a complex SilverStripe implementation that has lots of integrated services such as Single Sign-On, Sales Force, Magento e-commerce and YouTube feeds. The graphic design for the site was created by Distinguished & Co – who did a great job, making navigation a doddle. Big thanks to all of the guys who voted, what a great way to end the week.
