Gravity has been celebrated across the film industry for it's outstanding achievements in VFX – a real testament to the skills of the production teams here in the UK. London based VFX studio Framestore managed the creation of the ground-breaking visuals, and 3D conversion company Prime Focus World created the 3D effects. We know that the VFX community in particular have had watchful eyes on how the film is received given the high levels of attention the aesthetic of the film has been given in post.

Last Friday we took a train south to Bournemouth for the 2013 BFX awards ceremony, which was a truly wonderful event. Awarding and celebrating emerging talent from eleven UK universities, the teams who took part in this competition impressed us mightily.
