I've been watching and loving Game of Thrones since the moment it was introduced to me. Completely absorbed in the HBO action, it almost got to the point where if I needed to blaspheme, I would most likely yell out "JON SNOW" instead of the more traditional term.*
I'm so glad they didn't try to adapt this epic series of books into a trilogy of films. This lengthy and intense show really is a wonderful thing to immerse yourself in, even if it is sunny outside. Let's face it, the weather isn't going to get any better coming into winter, so why not make the most of it? Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Maybe even throw in some popcorn for good measure.
For a show that hasn't waned in the slightest, the visual effects and story lines continue to keep us on our toes. And lucky for us, there’s a lot more to come. So far, HBO have adapted two seasons of excellent TV viewing out of a so far five book series. The word on the street is that it took writer George R. R. Martin five years to write the last installment, A Dance with Dragons. He is currently working on the sixth book, The Winds of Winter, and those of us making our way through the books more quickly than we’d like, we hope this sixth doesn’t take quite as long. No, of course, you should never rush genius. Let they legacy continue!
I came across the video above of the HBO Game of Thrones theme tune yesterday. It made my day and so I decided to make it my mission to cheer up my fellow fans. Happy humming.
