Although it has been around for a number of years, it is not until now, in the midst of the smartphone/tablet revolution, that we really have the opportunity to get a hands on experience of it on a daily basis.

This tool essentially uses the phone/tablet as an extension of oneself, recognising inanimate objects and bringing them to life on the screen.

This technology can be used in a number of fields, from pure entertainment, to being an aid in a military operation.

We had a CG enabling 'augmented reality App' on show at our escapee reunion just a couple of months ago, thanks to our friends at Saddington Baynes. I can assure you it's very cool, and if I'm honest, I can't wait for more of the same in the future!
